Girlschool ~ Tamworth

After what seemed like ages it was finally the day!
Unfortunatly my pestering skills had failed to get Idle Silver on the bill for Rock of Ages.
We'd just played a gig at the Griff and Coten, and had one the night before at Scruffy Murphys.
Naturally my neck was a bit achey and i was about to make it worse.

I managed to convince Floseph to come with me to save me from lonleyness.
love you flo! xxx

SO.. we get to the Palace and there is some crap bands on for aaaaaaages until Fiori.
Flo showed me around town, and in the process my arse got grabbed by some 14 year old chav.
not exactly amused.. so i ignored him.

Flo and i got some chips (which she refused to put mayo on!) they were well tasty!

The Satin Dolls turned up shortly before they were to go on. I was getting worried cos i really wanted to see them play a full set.
They asked where beka was... but she was at home being poor!
They also asked if we survived Glastonbudget, hehe (only just).

They played awesomely and really gave it their all...
Flo seemed to be taken rather a lot of pictures of their bassist....
Jools had a bit of a wardrobe malfunction.. but i dont think anyone did mind. hehe

There was so, so little people there. Considering tickets had been on sale since April, there was (excluding the bands) probably 20 people there?
We so could have bought loads of people down if we played! BUT NO!
Dante Fox were good. Amazing voice! Flo and i looked a bit puzzled when this womens voice was coming out of what seemed no where when there were only men on the stage.

Girlschool went on at Midnight, and by now... there were about 10 people in the audience.
It was more like a private show...

But they played as if there were 1000 people there!
Absolutly awesome!

i tried my very best to sing along to all the words that i knew..
and headbanged in all the bits which i didnt know.
Its such an awesome thing to see them live, as they are probably THE quinessential female rock band of ALL time.
Such an Inspiration to so many bands out there.
Flo and i called out for them to play Nothing To Loose. But i dont think Jackie knew it.
Never Say Never was probably the highlight for me, as its my favourite song.
But they played the classics like Screaming Blue Murder, Yeah Right, Hit and Run , Emergency , Future Flash, Race With the Devil etc.
Amazing! Flo and i stole the set list at the end...
I WANT A COPY OF THAT YOU CHIEF!
