Reading Festival 2007

Thursday 23rd August 07

I think i'm starting to know the road to Anna's pretty well now..
When picking up Stevie she was having a sleeping bag crisis....
Luckily i had a spare one at my house in Luton.

and in all honesty.. i've never seen such a scary ginger dog!

Mum and dad had ordered too much chinese.. so we were happy to help them out. Only now i wish i had never tried to stick that prawn cracker in my mouth.. it cut me and now it looks like i have herpes!!! :(

Had quite a few beers in celebration of the start of our adventures.. and Unicum

(i told you it was rank!)

We got about 3 hours sleep.. and i had a slight hangover the next day.

Friday 24th August 07 ~ Reading Day 1

6.am: OH GOSH is that the time already...
Dale came early in the morning to pick us up.. We owe him one.. THANK YOU DALE! XxX

We set the sat nav to have a C3-PO voice. Listened to Paramore and A Perfect Circle on the way down there. The traffic wasnt too bad.

Unfortunatly Anna left her phone at my house... which was rather silly..
We Pulled up at the Crowne Plaza, however Steve Zapp hadnt checked in yet.. so we had to wait to collect the tickets..

No matter..
We entertained ourselves but taking
the piss out of passers by.

After a few hours of waiting.. we finally got the tickets.. Slight problem however.. :S
Because they were guest tickets we need to pay a compulsary £25 each which would go to charity. Ugh oh... we dont have many coins..
Some how managed to scrap together enough money to get in.
Dale dropped us off out side the guest bit and we carried all out shite.

it was sooooo heavy!!

Must have been the sheer amount of beer...

We we so tired we plonked our tent in the nearest available space..
Turned out to be disabled camping!!!

Because it took so long with us attempting to put up the tent (which was still in a mess from when Daniel used it last) we had to chip it down to the stage where Sparta were playing.

Then Came the BEER!

most supprisingly amazing band of friday were GOSSIP..

WOW is all i can say. And if you saw what we did.. it'll be a moment you'll never forget! just wish i had my camera!

Then we watched Jimmyeat World.

After that we went into the guest area for more and more beers and met some rather charming american men.

Met a few people from bands..

By this point Stevie had dissapeared for a long while.. and some how managed to come back FAR more drunk then anyone else...

Actually had to put her to bed!!!

I cant really remember watching ASH... i belive i was rather fucked by that point and had to leave half way through..

Saturday 25th August 07 ~The next morning.....

Well.. we have no sympathy for her what so ever! After misplacing Stevie due to drunken sleepwalking.. this was the result of the next morning..

I felt rather ... unwell myself. Didnt help the tent was blindingly bright!
Stevie took a cocktail of hangover cures... dont think it worked! HA!

Today the uber stalk began..
First band on the main stage were Paramore..
As we are ALL fans.. we couldnt miss it for the world.
After the previous nights over endulging.. a certain someone had to stop for an almight vomit to make herself feel better.

The exit to the guest area was closed off.. and we started to panic about not getting to the front for Paramore...
They looked pretty nervous on that stage, even after coming off the Warped Tour.
There had a minor fuck up in Here We Go Again. But they recovered.
Only wish i could have completed the uber stalk and met them. pity.. :(

we stalked them at the signing tent!

Also this day we watched Dinosaur Jnr. I had heard of them and knew that blink were fans of them. I only recognised Freak Scene because blink had covered it on their flyswatter demo back in 1993.

We also watched the Shins... They were good.. but it wouldnt be somthing that i necessarily would have listened to. Anna's T-shirt got rather moist.

I stayed to watch my Hero and inspiration crumble the last remaining threads of respect i had for him..

Angels and Airwaves were APPAULING!

and i think it showed from the bottle/rock throwing... RIP Thomas Matthew DeLonge

Didnt bother watching any other bands until the chili's.

there was alot of this going on>>

Red Hot Chili Peppers were ... well.. shite
They had a disaster of a set.. and i am not keen on people who stand up on stage and just jam.. FUCKING GET ON WITH IT!

When Anthony finally started the song he trod on Johns pedals and they had to stop.. and start the song again.. then he fell over..
FLea didnt look happy at all.

Stevie went to bed early..

Anna and i stayed up Drinking the Creamy Baige... around next doors camp fire.. (who actually turned out not to be mentally disabled)

i dont think at the time we realised HOW much we actually drank...

Sunday 26th August 07 ~ :)

Sunday morning.. Stevie appeared to have contracted some sorta plague...

i was feeling a little bad from mine and Anna's little camp fire session.

now for break fast >>>

So there i was .. drinking my pineapple juice.. when i put it carefully down on the floor..
when all of a suddon.. Anna treds on it.. Pushes Stevie out of the way...
Leaps into the tent.. Grabs a bog roll and wet whipes and legs it!

We now shall take a moments silence to thank the power of Imodium

...and we're done.

I was pretty excited about seeing Sonic Boom Six play.
And i think the others were too!
but first we had to meet Anna's friend Kat..
yes.. Another Kat to add to the equation.
Boom probably had the best crowd of the weekend.. But then again i would say that .. cos i know most of the songs and stuff..
MASSIVE Cirlce pit..
We also watched Billy Talent who were awesome and FFAF.

There was loads of bottle throwing just before Lostprophets..
But we were only waiting for NIN to come on..
THey were probably then best band i have EVER seen live..
and i didnt even know a single song!

Me and Stevie were looking after some drunk girl.. who we ditched in the loos cos really.. would couldnt be arsed anymore..

We are bother going to hell..
Anna was in the pit somewhere with less clothes i think... having the time of her life..

we got more beers.. and then watched the Smashing Pumpkins.

Matt put Stevie on his shoulders..

Why Wev's ended up in a pink dress that evening.. we shall never know..

We lost Anna for a bit.. but we found her..
Then she completed her stalk challenge..
what a perfect way for her to end the night!

Then we went back to the campsite.. told the TIMMAH'S to not even THINK about waking up stevie... I remember laughing about something in the tent.. but i cant remember what it was..

Monday 27th August 07 ~ Cheese?

well... i was being Pelted with Grapes as we attempted to pack up the things in the morning..

my attempts to shout at the STUPID LITTLE BOYS made no difference.

We are so hot!>>>

The distance to the Train Station was unbearable! Even with less to carry then before we really struggled.
Queued for best part of an hour for the train ticket booth.
Then came cheese.

yes.. thats cheese on the train roof!

it all started when stevie slapped the plastic cheese round anna's face..
anna squirted the orange juice in Stevies eye..
Stevie throw the triangle cheese... and threw it back and it splatted...
then we threw Pom Bears at Pigeons...
I cant even explain the insanity when we actually got on the train....

And the final thought for the whole trip>>

MWHAHHAHAHAH
