The lame adventures of K@: July 2008

i didnt really know when would be the right time for me to post this blog.
As you can see from the date of the last post, its been several months since i last posed on the lame adventures of kat.

I suppose i should start with April...
It wasnt the best of months...

My Debit Card details were stolen, and some one stole £300 from my account by filling up at a tesco petrol station in coventry. Idle Silver Broke Up. I had to leave my job at Subway.
I had to stop seeing shiny boy with tattoos and beardness. I got stuck on the motorway for 6 hours!!

but none of that compares to the loss of Beka's Mum, Krys.
She lost her battle to cancer on 2nd April.

Not only was she a dear friend but also a second mum. Mark and Krys took me into their home and gave me a roof over my head and fed me for a year, whilst Beka and I pursued our dream of being in a band.
Although she always said she wasnt a good cook, I always thought her meals were awesome!
She was someone to talk to in the mornings about anything and everything whilst Beka was still asleep.
She's tell me, "You're not going out like that!", when i would dress myself for going on a date.

( whats wrong with stripy socks... and checked shoes... and camo fat man pants... and a silly hat???)

She had her quirky little ways, but she always was very supportive of Our band. And she made me feel part of the family.
She'll be greatly missed by all :(

After Idle Silver Split,
I can honestly say that i've never had my heart broken so badly.

But at least i can look back and smile. The venues we played...
The people and bands we met..
All the different towns we went tol..
The service station shinanigans..
Getting liberated...
..mum??

i can honestly say that i've never shared the stage with such a talented, sexy and amazing bunch of girls. Laura Anne, Rebecca Anne and Florence Jane. I love you XxX

I moved back to the good ole LU3 Massive
I dyed my hair brown. It had been red for so long and i felt as if i needed a change. And also i didnt really know where my life was going.

i got me a job...YES
A REAL job, as a music technician at North Hertfordshire College in Hitchin.

I was only part time... but it seemed like an ok thing.
However.. my hours decreased there and it was less of a job and more of an inconveinece.
So i tried to enquire via email about when or how i was getting paid after working there for a month.
My boss picked up the phone and told me not to bother coming in again...
RIGHT!!!
You know what.. they still haven't paid me.. the bastards!

So i'm band less...
job less...
wife less...

So i decide to take up Stevies offer of a placement in The Tommys as Second Guitarist.
She had been pestering me for some time now..
But in some ways i was a bit reluctant to drop everything and move to a different town all over again.
With a little bit of convincing from Anna and with my Mum and Dad behind me, i decided to go up to Northampton for an audition.

I think i must of done something right..
Seeing as they wanted me :)
