The lame adventures of K@: January 2008

With a steaming hangover brewing it could only mean one thing...

SPICE GIRLS day had arrived!

First of all i got the Train to go to London, as i was seeing Anna, Fran and Stevie cos they were mixing their demo.

It was Fran's 18th birthday that day.. finally catching up with the rest of us!

She litterally must have gotten on the train at Luton Airport when i got on a Leagrave!

DOH

Would of made the journey slightly less bad.
There were strange children starring at me!

Finally caught the right tube to Earls Court.
Having never been there i got a little confused as of which way to go.

Met Anna just outside of Universal and went in and sat inside in the warm.

She'd just had her Tattoo done and it was all bumpy.

The chairs were wizzy and i had a tuna sandwhich that daddy made for me, so i wouldnt get hungry. YUM

When i was allowed into the building we had to go through this door with a metal handle.
I wasnt listening when Anna said not to touch it...

Static shock from hell!
I couldnt stay round for long because i had to get to the other side of London to get to the Millenium Dome to meet Arran, Stevo and Tania.

So i did my goodbyes and heading back along the tube.

I was sitting next to two people who were talking about the concert. So i befriended them and walked with them to the Dome :)

Didnt know the sheer size of the place!!!

The Spice Girls Faces were plastered on the screens outside.
I said goodbye to my newly aquainted fellow spice fans and went to find my freinds outside some chicken place.
I bought myself a t-shirt and a programme..

I NEEEEEEDED THEM!

We went to find out seats after a while of queing up. There was so many people they didnt even bother checking the bags properly, as long as you didnt have a bottle it was fine.
We got into the arena and it was MASSIVE!
Much HIGHER then wembley.
I preyed we werent in the REALLY high seats.

They went up to the sky!

So we started walking.. down.. and down.. towards the seats.
AND WOW! did we have the best seats in the house. WE were at the front of a block on the floor.. which ment about 3m of footspace to dance in!

I kept going for a wee and beer didnt help.
I didnt want to miss a moment!

After about 2 hours of waiting..
it happened!
the screens moved and played a video.
I cant really descibe the screaming that i heard!
I had already anticipated them starting off with Spiceworld.
Because i couldnt think of a better opener.
So the five screens ran old footage of each individual girl.
then slowly each one flashed into a robot sillouette.
Then from out of the floor the real spice girls rose into position.. the screens

behind them went white, revealing the actual sillouette of the girls!

Then they started singing Spiceworld!

The whole place was going mad!

Next came STOP

They then went behing some screen and came out in sorta Caberet gear and gig Lady is a Vamp and Jazzed up Too Much.

Then they went behind these screens with loveheart doors and dance... and got changed into their next costumes!
Which were shiney!

Now i hate dancers as much as anything.

But the ones they had perfoming inbetween costume changes were rather good.
Then i could here Who Do You Think You Are?meddly going on.

And these men came on waving around the Union flag!
Kinda Felt a moment of National Pride at that specific time.

The two men put the Flags together for about 2 seconds..
then whisked them away to revel Geri standing in the space where they once were..

In the Girl Power Stance!

That was one of my hightlights of the night!

the whole Audience were screaming!

Then they actually burst into Who Do You Think You Are? which is one of my favourites!

After that..
Victoria, Mel B

and Emma
came on a did
solo peices.

Victoria did a fasion show

Mel B did a Lenny Kravitz cover
then this Psycadelic patton came on the screens

I knew it could only be one thing

EMMA!!!

Baada da da bada da da da daaa!!

awesome!

Then only four of them came on..
To do Holler and let

love lead the way.
In all honesty i shouldnt of expected anything less

Was really weird without Geri

They soon left the stage.. And the screens began to move...
what was to come next?

Flashes of Lightning were cast across the celing.. and storm clouds were on the screens..
Geri came on in a Mack and had an Umbrella...
Hahahah fantastic!

ITS RAINING MEN!

Half way through the dance ripped off her mack to reveal a small red outfit underneath.
In the last chorus Smoke was being shot up from the floor!

And now for my favourite Spice Girl to take the stage..
Melanie Chisholm...
She came on and did "I Turn To You"
and its was BLISTERINGLY good!

It picked up the whole crowd once again and the whole place turned into a massive rave!

Unfortunatly..

we were right in the heart of it!
Doug actually stole a whole carrier bag full of the stuff!

Probably one of the happiest moments..

Not going to write about christmas..
i've got too many more exciting things to write about. Besides it wouldnt have been very good..
it would only of been me moaning about being ill.

The moment of doom finally came :(

Sitting at home having a beer and watching TV with Tom.

Didn't even notice the clock ticking over 12... Little Britain was on.

And the last thing i ever saw as a teenager, was Bubbles bending over naked.

I had to work all day.. I just wanted to go back home.
Worked 9-5 then drove back to Luton.
I opened lots of shiny presents :)

I GOT SOCKS!

We then went round Uncle Linda's house
They Really out did themselves with the presents this year!!

Once festive Birthday fun had commenced, mummy dropped me off into Town at the George II, where i met up with ben. Dano was playing when i turned up..
She did a fine job!!! Her drumming very much impressed me!

Then came the beer!!!

And the random talks which i have no idea what they were about!

Count down came.. and Flo was on the phone to me.. Cant really remeber what she was saying..
Something about .. "where has everyone gone?!"
Then came a slurred rendition of Old Langs Syne

Doesnt anyone even know the words?
its just " YAAAH YAH YA YA YAAA.." etc
